Maslenica is a quiet village on the shores of the bay called the Karin Sea located at the end of the Novigrad Bay. If you ever visited Zadar by land, you had to cross the Maslenica Bridge that spans the Karin Strait and is to the west of Maslenica.

If you like Croatian pebble beaches, promenades along the coast and restaurants overlooking the sea, you will love Maslenica.

Everybody knows Zadar – an ancient town that has an interesting history and was governed by many different rulers – Julius Caesar, the Habsburgs and Napoleon.

Historical monument lovers in particular will enjoy the town. For instance, there is a Roman Forum, a temple and a basilica, many churches and monasteries from the Middle Ages, and the Zadar defensive system which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Zadar is also an important traffic crossroads. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the A1 motorway from Zagreb to Dubrovnik. There is also a direct boat from the port of Zadar to Ancona, Italy.
